Hello, I'm Rudy Fleminger, and I'd just like to take a moment and tell you a little about me, and how I got where I am today.
I grew up in Owosso, Michigan (about 90 miles due east of Grand Rapids, between Flint and Lansing). I began making websites, both personal and commercial, in high school, and soon enough, I realized I'd caught the graphic design "Bug", when I started making a nice school-student income making fliers, book covers and websites for people in my school system.
After high school I went on to Kendall College of Art and Design in Grand Rapids. The school's recent expansion gave me a chance to add to the web and interactive design I already knew, while giving me a solid core curriculum in printed-media design. In school, I fell in love with the intricasies of typography and layout, as well as the creativity which goes hand-in-hand. After four years, I'm graduating, and out on the job-hunting campaign trail.
Apart from design, I am an amateur computer programmer, both on the web and on the PC. From my humble origins with the Commodore 64, I have gone on to work with numerous different languages and technologies.
My other great love is music. I am a fan of independent music and various styles of rock, mostly from the 1990s to the current day, and I am always looking for something "off the beaten path" (the stranger the better). Some might call my battered Discman an appendage, and my extensive stash of Emusic tracks is never far from reach.
